DivorceCare for Kids

DivorceCare for Kids is  designed to help children heal and grow positively following the separation or divorce of their parents. The group meets weekly for 11 weeks combining games, crafts, activities, music and videos to create a fun atmosphere where children feel comfortable and accepted. At the weekly meetings, kids will make friends who understand how they feel and share similar experiences. Best of all, children will learn how God's love can strengthen them and help turn tears to hope and joy.

Parents are encouraged to be involved with their children as they go through these classes. They will receive a weekly "Parent Page" describing what the child has learned and how to have follow-up discussions during the week. DivorceCare for Kids follows the same schedule as the adult DivorceCare program, allowing parents and children to progress through the healing process together.

DC4K begins March 12 - 6:30-8:30pm - Contact the church office to sign up.

DivorceCare for TEENS

logo“The Big D” was created to promote a teen’s journey in healing, identifying the hurt from divorce, and then challenging them to find the strength to confront, accept and heal from those hurts. Through challenging the denial often associated with a parents divorce, and helping the teen push through anger issues; “The Big D” can help lead teens into the freedom necessary to understand and experience true forgiveness.

“The Big D” is a program designed to encourage and empower teens to deal with their feelings, fears, and emotions while experiencing the divorce or separation of their parents. It is very common for teens to experience a variety of conflicting emotions during this time. Many react with anger, withdrawal, and intense pain; many carrying these unresolved emotions into their own futures. Because of the divorce or separation of their parents, teens find themselves in a hopeless situation that they did not choose. Many teens carry this “hopelessness” into their futures and any unresolved emotions can carry over into their own families one day. That is where “The Big D” comes in.
A teen will leave transformed and equipped with the God given tools to live a life of hope and the promise of a changed tomorrow.

The Big D begins March 12 - 6:30-8:30 - Contact the church office to sign up.
