Junior High

Junior High Youth / Confirmation

saintsandsinnersSaints & Sinners is the Junior High Youth Group here at Holy Trinity. Why Sinners? Because we know that none of us is perfect. Why Saints? Because we know that in Christ we are a new creation!!!

Although we are sinners, and by God's power to make us saints, we live out our faith in this world.

Saints & Sinners meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00pm, for relationship building, learning, and having fun. At the end of their 8th grade year, students make an affirmation of their faith at a special worship service.

Go to Holy Trinity's online calendar to find out when and where other events are planned. Or, to get more information about Saints & Sinners/Confirmation opportunities, contact Pastor Scott.

Senior High

Senior High Youth Group

Our high school youth group meets during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6pm-8pm. The first half of each meeting is dedicated to hanging out, games, or chatting with friends.

During the second hour we announce and discuss upcoming events and participate together in a devotional study and conversation. Each year the youth group participates in a variety of different activities, including group outings, regional conferences and mission trips. TiroshLogo

Tirosh is the Hebrew word for 'new wine' . The symbolism of new wine has rich meaning in both the Old and New Testaments. It is associated with God's grace, abundant blessings and new life in Jesus Christ.

We invite you to experience the joy of a Tirosh retreat through the outpouring of God’s love in His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.  Participants must be 15 years-20 years old.

Usually the Tirosh weekend happens over Martin Luther King Weekend in January.  Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.

Children

childrenministryThe mission of Holy Trinity's Youth and Family Ministry is to nurture everyone in their faith journey through caring and sharing community programs. We start our spiritual journey with faith formation. The things that we value, how we worship, why we worship and even how we relate to each other are defined by what we believe.

The Youth and Family programs at Holy Trinity fulfill educational needs by developing young minds through sound Bible-based curriculum, proven leadership and practical programming. Younger children develop friendships and sound Christian values while teens practice their skills in Christian reasoning and moral reflection as they give attention to their personal horizons. Educational alternatives and a vast variety of opportunities keep everyone in tune with God.

Spring of 2012

Receive First Communion on a Sunday @ 9:15 a.m.

First Communion classes at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church are offered at the Second Grade level for three weeks in the Spring, usually beginning in February. The curriculum is from Augsburg Fortress entitled "The Welcome Table". There is a family book along with a child's book that talks about what Holy Communion is. In the three weeks, the youth along with their parents, learn about what Holy Communion is, taste the bread, wine and grape juice, and make banners for their First Communion. They receive their First Communion on a Sunday at the 9:15am service.

Holy Trinity also offers a one time class for older youth who haven't been instructed n receiving Holy Communion and they too will receive their First Communion along with the other kids. If your child hasn't been instructed in First Communion and would like to take Communion, please contact either This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
