Children
The mission of Holy Trinity's Youth and Family Ministry is to nurture everyone in their faith journey through caring and sharing community programs. We start our spiritual journey with faith formation. The things that we value, how we worship, why we worship and even how we relate to each other are defined by what we believe.
The Youth and Family programs at Holy Trinity fulfill educational needs by developing young minds through sound Bible-based curriculum, proven leadership and practical programming. Younger children develop friendships and sound Christian values while teens practice their skills in Christian reasoning and moral reflection as they give attention to their personal horizons. Educational alternatives and a vast variety of opportunities keep everyone in tune with God.

First Communion Instruction
2nd Graders & their Parents
Spring of 2012
Receive First Communion on a Sunday @ 9:15 a.m.
First Communion classes at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church are offered at the Second Grade level for three weeks in the Spring, usually beginning in February. The curriculum is from Augsburg Fortress entitled "The Welcome Table". There is a family book along with a child's book that talks about what Holy Communion is. In the three weeks, the youth along with their parents, learn about what Holy Communion is, taste the bread, wine and grape juice, and make banners for their First Communion. They receive their First Communion on a Sunday at the 9:15am service.
Holy Trinity also offers a one time class for older youth who haven't been instructed n receiving Holy Communion and they too will receive their First Communion along with the other kids. If your child hasn't been instructed in First Communion and would like to take Communion, please contact either This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
