Fifth Sunday of Giving: Donation Drive, Mount of Olives Lutheran Church 

Every time there's a fifth Sunday in a month, we create a donation drive to help other organizations achieve their mission. For the entire month of June we're collecting items for Mount of Olives Lutheran Church. There's been a surge in sought after items for seniors and families struggling with food insecurity. 

Items needed include: 

• Saltine or cheese flavored crackers. 

• Peanut butter

• Pop top canned items like soup, fruit cups or instant pasta

• New socks for men and women

• New or gently used adult sized t-shirts

• Incontinent briefs/Depends

• Bags of dry dog food

Kick off your day with Bible Study and Pastor Bernie via Zoom. This session is one hour and open to everyone. We've got participants in California, Illinois, Oregon, Colorado and Montana. Which state will be next? Join us and find out.

Topic: Fraud

Pastor Bernie will be hosting this topic. TheALEogy provides an opportunity for church members and friends to gather weekly at a restaurant to openly and safely discuss how faith intersects with current world topics and personal interest areas. We gather every Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Fibber Magees. Topics are thoughtfully suggested by attendees and discussed in the spirit of fellowship and respect.

Produce On Wheels With-Out Waste (P.O.W.W.O.W.) is a program that makes available 70 lbs. o rescued produce for a small donation of $15 to it's supporters. Holy Trinity is proud to be one of the many host locations throughout Arizona. You can participate in this special ministry several ways.

1. Volunteer to work an event - join us to sort and package the produce in preparation for our supporters starting at 4am April - October, 5 am November -March. Volunteers who serve four hours or more take home 70 lbs. of produce. To volunteer go to: I want to volunteer!

2. Stop by the day of the event, donate $15 and receive up to 70lbs. of fresh vegetables and fruit. Be sure to follow the signs for the drive through.

3. Register in advance by donating $20 and reserving your 70 lbs. fresh vegetables and fruit through the Drive Up Take Away (DUTA) option. Pick up your order in a separate line off of Flint Street. We've got the best volunteers and need your assistance for the ELCA Churchwide Assembly happening this summer. Opportunities to show off your skillset(s) include hospitality, registration, worship and tech support.
